Benchmarks should not change silently. This log records every material movement in our published data — the metric, the old and new medians, when it changed, and why (source refresh, expanded sample, or a newly published coordinate).
A benchmark you compared against last quarter should still be inspectable today. The change log is written by the database itself on every ingest — not curated by hand — so it is a complete record.
