Legal & Compliance
Last updated: September 30, 2026
This policy explains what Benchmarketing Inc. (“BenchMarketing”, “we”) collects when you use benchmarketing.org and the BenchMarketing app, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@benchmarketing.org.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing the service, your consent (for analytics and marketing cookies), and legal obligations.
We only request read-only permissions, and we use platform data only to provide the features you see in BenchMarketing. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or let people read it except with your permission for support, for security, or where the law requires.
BenchMarketing’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect a platform at any time under Integrations, which deletes our stored access tokens immediately. You can also revoke access from the platform itself, for example in your Google Account permissions.
When you ask the assistant a question, we send your question, together with a summary of your workspace’s performance and the relevant benchmarks, to Google’s Gemini API to generate the answer. We do not send your password, payment details, or the personal information of your team.
Alongside published sources, we calculate aggregate statistics, such as medians and quartiles, across workspaces in the same industry. A figure is only shown when it combines at least 10 companies, and it never names or identifies any company. To exclude your workspace, email hello@benchmarketing.org.
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run the service:
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our users or the service, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply.
We and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on our providers’ data processing terms, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and object to or restrict how we use it. You can withdraw cookie consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. California and other US state residents can ask what we collect and ask us to delete it; we do not sell personal information, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of sharing for advertising. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
To make a request, email hello@benchmarketing.org from your account address. We answer within 30 days. See Delete your data for deletion steps. In the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, encrypted storage of access tokens, and role-based access. See Security. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you of a breach where the law requires.
BenchMarketing is a business service and is not directed to anyone under 16.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will email account owners before they take effect and update the date above.
